Pastor Terry L. Davis was born and raised in the small town of Pinola, Mississippi. He learned the value of hard work and to have faith and trust in the Lord. His father was a Baptist preacher that taught Christian principles which helped him at an early age as he felt the divine calling on his life. He was very active in the church and served in various ministries, which further prepared him for the even greater call of preaching the gospel. In 1990 he accepted his call to the gospel ministry.

Presently, Pastor Davis serves as Senior Pastor/Teacher of the First Hyde Park Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, Ms where he has been for (17) seventeen years. Pastor Davis organized this church with twenty adult members using a small store to hold their worship services. Under his leadership the church membership has grown to over 200 members and God has enabled them to purchase the property and a new church building valued at half a million dollars; this past September 2007, God further enabled this ministry to burn the mortgage! Our vision for the next three years is to prayerfully begin work on a brand new Educational Complex, which will consist of classrooms, a multipurpose building and more.

Additionally, Pastor Davis has served the past (16) sixteen years as the Senior Pastor/Teacher of the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Pinola, Mississippi. Under his leadership there, the church has recently completed a hundred thousand dollar renovation project to the sanctuary and added another wing to the building. God has spiritually added to the church more than one hundred members.

Pastor Davis is the Moderator of the Simpson County Baptist Association. His ministry has spread throughout the State of Mississippi and abroad. He is often called upon to conduct revivals and
workshops, but his greatest desire is to please God.

Pastor Davis and the love of his life, Sandy have been married for (26) twenty-six years and they have two daughters, Jacquelyn and Shondra.
